Chews we would give our own dogs

Chewbox started with a simple idea. Dogs deserve natural, honest treats, and owners deserve to know exactly what they are giving them. No rawhide, no fillers, no mystery ingredients. Just proper natural chews that are good for dogs and that dogs genuinely love.

We are part of the Dogs Go family, founded by Sarah Ashworth, who started Dogs Go back in 2017 with a single dog park on the Wirral. Today Dogs Go runs three sites across the Wirral and Cheshire, with nine secure private dog fields between them, where our team looks after hundreds of dogs every week. In 2024 we were proud to be named Best Pet Business at the Wirral Globe Awards.

That connection to real dogs is what makes Chewbox different. We do not guess what works. We see it. Every chew and toy we stock has to earn its place with the dogs we know, before it earns a place in your box.

Most shops tell you a chew is good. We can tell you why, and who it suits, because our team includes fully qualified IMDT dog trainers. Beth and Ryan work with dogs and their owners every day, on recall, on settling, on building confidence in nervous dogs. That is why so many of our products carry a note on exactly which dogs they are best for, from a gentle fish skin for a Cavalier to a proper long lasting chew for a Labrador.

We believe chewing matters. It is one of the most natural, calming things a dog can do. A good chew keeps a dog settled, supports clean teeth, and gives a busy brain a job to do. Getting the right chew for your dog is what we are here to help with.

  • No rawhide, ever. It is chemically treated and a genuine choking hazard, and there are far better natural options. We will never sell it.
  • Chosen with care. If we would not give it to our own dogs, or the dogs at our parks, we do not stock it.
  • Real advice. Our trainers help you choose, whether your dog is a teething puppy, a sensitive tummy, a power chewer or a gentle senior.
